Well this morning was my 13 week prenatal appointment! Woohoo finally heading into the long awaited 2nd trimester. Drew had to work this morning and since I wasnt having an ultrasound I had my mom go with me. It was a quick and painless appointment. We got to hear the little one's heartbeat again and for my mom it was the first time. It's such an amazing sound, especially since I dont really look or feel pregnant. I held back tears this time but not my mom. At this point I am 13 weeks and according to Dr. Moss my body is producing all the things it should be to keep to baby healthy and growing. I think I can finally relax and trust that my body is going to do what it should to have a healthy boy or girl at this point.
My next checkup is November 10 where we are going to have some tests done for birth defects, for peace of mind. Then December 14 is the BIG ONE! We will be finding out whether we are having a boy or girl. I can't wait. I know it will be the best Christmas gift ever!
So for everything else going on in our lives...pretty busy. Drew has soccer games about every weekend and I feel like swim team has taken over my life but I like staying busy. I just wish Drew and I could have a little more time together. It's never fun to realize that we spend more time with our coworkers than we do each other. But we take every minute we do have together and make the most of it. This weekend we are going down to Huntsville, AL for a soccer tournament and I think we are gonna treat it like a mini vacation. Im looking forward to a weekend away from swimming.
As for Charlie, well he has NO idea what is coming his way. I have a good feeling though that he will take to this new little one just as much as he has to Drew and me. He is enjoying his walks and gets so excited when his mommy and daddy get home in the evenings, or when my mom comes over to give him a little relief and food :)

How far along? 13 weeks
How big is baby? The size of a kiwi.
Weight gain? 0 lbs!
Maternity clothes? Thanks to Mama Perry, Erin, and Mama Commander I've collected a few just waiting to fit into them. Still a bit big
Sleep? Doing OK. Lots of trips to the restroom but Ive been that should slow down in the 2nd trimester. I toss and turn ALOT!
Cravings? Tomatoes...I know weird right?
Best part about being pregnant? Hearing that beautiful hearbeat after our earlier scares.
Worst part? Acne and frequent bathroom trips
What am I looking forward to? Knowing what the sex is! And shopping :)
